It's a Beautiful Day

Today is the 16th anniversary of my mom's passing. I have to say that I feel really good today. I know that's not a substantive thought to post, but I've written so many sad things in the past several months (in fact, before posting this, I had written a rough draught reflecting on the suicidal undertones of Hamlet's III:i speech), I thought perhaps it was about time to give some good news. It's 70 degrees outside, the sky is blue, and today, I celebrate that my mom had 39 years on this earth and one of the things she chose to do with that time was raise me.

What a beautiful sentiment. May her memory continue to be a blessing.
