I Had a Dream

Which was in no way prophetic, I don't think.

Last night I dreamed that a whole bunch of bloggers from the j-blogosphere were all sitting together in a high school gymnasium. It may even have been my high school gymnasium, but I don't think so. I recognized a lot of people, either from their pictures, because I know them in person, or, in a few cases, inexplicably, but no one recognized me.

People were sitting on either side of the gym, and there was a clear path down the middle. As I was walking I passed Orieyenta, who was wearing a pink NYC sweatshirt and jeans and sitting with PhD. PhD, for the record, in my imagination looks a lot like POLJ. Anyway, Orieyenta didn't recognize me (for obvious reasons, we've never met) so I went over to talk to her. On her other side was a guy wearing a green polo shirt who looked vaguely Asian, was very friendly, and joined our conversation. Just as we started to chat, and I revealed my identity, I woke up.

Bizarre, right?

That is an awesome dream! I love that our online relationships become a part of our subconcious and enter our dreams.

Now about the gymnasium...

I think it is awesome that you had a dream where I was a doctor! Or at least played one in your dream!

Leah- Yes. By the way, you were also there. Next to Michael of KosherEucharist. Not sure if you guys know eachother at all, but you were very, ahem, friendly. My subconcious is so strange.

LJ- I think that it is probably because I saw you recently.

In LOLCat, that title should be "I can has dreem."

Me? Friendly? The subconscious is a funny thing...

Fortunately, I don't dream about the blogosphere, although I dream about everything else, to the point of it becoming problematic vis-a-vis actually getting sleep.

Lately I've started to dream in Portuguese. Suck on that, Sigmund.

That is so funny since your dream comes right after I had a discussion with someone about wondering what some of the j-blogosphere bloggers who don't post pictures on their blogs look like. We will most certainly have to meet the next time I am in New York.

So now I'm wondering what POLJ looks like. Wouldn't it be cool if he looked like PHD?

Michael,

not friendly as in nice, friendly as in, ahem, NSFW friendly.

For POLJ to look like PHD he would have to look like a retired 63 year old accountant, who looks old for his age, and who somehow managed to attract a nutty 39 year old fake jew (Orieyenta) who deserted her boyfriend, who she had talked of marrying, right in the middle of his cancer treatment. Feel like throwing up?
